Good morning Marauder families. Due to current weather and road conditions, Ovid-Elsie Area Schools will operate on a two hour delay. Thank you and we apologize for any inconvenience.

We are giving the "all clear" at the Middle School. We have conducted backpack and locker searches under the watch of the Clinton County Sheriff's Department and used their dogs to also do a sweep of the entire school. At this point, parents may pick up their child(ren) or they may ride the bus. After school activities will still take place. Please talk with your children about the seriousness of situations like this. We will do everything we can to find out who is responsible for this threat and hold them accountable. If you have any information to offer, please notify the school immediately.

Athletics: There will be no MAT Program and no Middle School activities after school today. High School practices and events will be played as scheduled. Thanks and GO MARAUDERS!

The M.A.T. Program is cancelled for today. It will resume on Monday, 2/14/22. Go Marauders!

Update: We have officers on site. They have advised us to go into a HARD lockdown which means we will NO LONGER be releasing students while we begin sweeping lockers, etc. Our goal is to be cleared by the end of the day so that students may be picked up or sent home on buses. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Marauder Families: We were just made aware of a written threat in one of the bathrooms at our Middle School stating: "I'm gonna shoot up the school Feb. 10". Thankfully a student reported this. At this time we are following our Homeland Security Protocols and going into lockdown. Clinton County is on their way to assist us in reviewing video and searching lockers. If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated and the District will do everything in its power to prosecute this person to the fullest - we do not take this as a joke. For parents who wish to pick up their students, you may do so by signing them out at the front office. We understand that this will cause some anxious feelings, but we are going to do everything we can to dispose of this threat immediately.

ROAD CLOSED NOTICE FROM THE VILLAGE OF ELSIE: On Feb 9, 2022 starting at 8am until later that afternoon ( 5pm) - South Ovid St in Elsie from Main to Mead Road will be closed to all traffic. This is due to moving of the old Dorman house to its new location.
