The kindergarten students in Mrs. Jones' class are loving their UFLI lessons. We have been working hard on phonemic awareness as well as reading and spelling words. Here you can see students using the word work mat to manipulate letters.

At the October PBIS Assembly, Myah, Dawson and Lincoln from Mrs.Westenberg's Class received some special honors. Myah and Dawson were honored with Kindness Certificates for showing kindness. Dawson also caught a t-shirt that was thrown into the audience and Lincoln received a Leo Kindness t-shirt. Way to go, kiddos!

We had some Halloween Fun in Mrs. Westenberg's Class. We did a color by code, each kiddo received a book of their choice (and a Reading Finger to help with tracking while they read), Musical Chairs and Alphabet Bingo. We also completed a Skittles Math Graph and took part in Halloween Parade out at OEHS.

Congratulations to our Varsity Volleyball team on their District Championship!

Congratulations to Ovid-Elsie High School’s Student of the Week, senior Jacob K! Jacob is actively involved in cross country, swim, track, and National Honor Society while maintaining a 4.04 GPA. He enjoys playing video games and spending time with his girlfriend. He was nominated as the Homecoming King this year by his classmates. Jacob plans to attend medical school to become a Radiologist after high school.

OEMS Student Council is organizing a fundraising event for Veterans Day. They have been selling flags for $1 and have extended their flag sales through next week. Flags will start to be displayed on the corner of Hollister Rd. and Colony Rd. starting Monday, November 6th to honor our Veterans. If interested, please complete the attached form and submit it to your school office by November 9th.
Last year, the event had a great turnout, and this year, they are looking forward to a bigger and better event. All the money raised from selling flags will be donated to the local VFW.
