With the second successive closing, Athletics activities are on standby. We are awaiting the all clear today around 12:00pm. The following activities will be allowed today if given the all clear on an OPTIONAL BASIS:
1. Red Cedar Practices
2. Varsity, Sub Varsity, and Middle School Practices
All competitions today are TBD.
Due to deteriorating road conditions, school is now closed Wednesday, January 24th, 2024.
Ovid-Elsie Area Schools will have a 2 hour delayed start Wednesday, January 24th, 2024.
In a collective decision made by the MMAC tonight's basketball contests have been postponed until a later date. We are also cancelling the away swim meet at Lansing Everett.
Practices are optional today for Varsity Only effective immediately until 7:00pm.
Due to the road conditions and the school cancellation Athletics has made the following adjustments/ cancellations today:
1. No Sub Varsity or Middle School Competitions or Practices
2. No Red Cedar Activities at the Elementary or Middle Schools
3. No Varsity practices before 3:00pm today (start times are still TBD)
4. All Competitions today will be confirmed or cancelled by 1:00pm today

Due to the icy road conditions, Ovid-Elsie Area Schools will be closed Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024.
Students learn by doing, so the “boss of the day” leads calendar every day. They lead the class in counting the days of the month, demonstrates how to show the number of days in school we are by filling in the place value chart (86 today) and leads the class in identifying the 2D & 3D shapes with the vertices. Great job today Bella ! Great teacher voice!
Our PBIS school wide celebration this week is Foodie Fun Friday. The students listen to a story read to them and then they create a food item from the theme of the book. The book was The Monster Who Lost His Mean. They loved it and created their own “Onster”. Yum! Leonard Elementary makes learning fun!
Do you want to build a snowman? Kindergarteners love this STEM activity. They all received a bag full of the same ingredients and they had to use what was in the bag and their imagination to create their own snowman. There was no peeking and after everyone was done creating, they did a snowman tour. Compliments and kudos were shared among friends and finally they enjoyed a snowman tasty treat!
