Students thoroughly enjoyed their PBIS Celebration last Friday. Leonard students met their Paw Ticket goal and were rewarded with a Magic Show! The Magician performed magic tricks, illusions and did some juggling! Leonard ROCKS!

Some exciting things happening for OE FFA and congratulations are in order!
Abby T is one of three candidates for the Michigan FFA Star Farmer Award. She will be recognized and the winner announced during a ceremony on February 29th at the Wharton Center.
OE FFA was a Glassbrook Grant Recipient and received $2500 towards purchasing a chapter trailer.
OE FFA was well represented at the Regional Leadership Contests in Laingsburg on Wednesday. The OE FFA Demonstration team of Joshua M, Clay P, and Gavin W were the Regional Winners, earning Gold and moving on to the State Conference on February 29th at MSU. The Ag Issues and Greenhand Conduct of Meetings Team each earned Gold and are the Regional Alternates. Junior Public Speaker Rebecca L. earned Silver.

Two Ovid-Elsie seniors from the Eaton RESA Heavy Equipment program (on-site at AIS Construction) qualified to move on to the SkillsUSA Regionals that will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Lansing Community College.
Hunter H. will be competing in the Heavy Equipment Diesel Repair contest where he will work effectively and rotate through 8 timed stations related to diesel technology. Examples of his contest include troubleshooting an engine, checking fluid levels on a piece of machinery, looking up parts for a repair, and completing a welding process.
Travis E. placed first in the local round of the Heavy Equipment Operator contest where he had to operate an excavator, skid steer, and a backhoe and maneuver them through a course. His competition will include a written test and showcase his skills in the use of all machines in a timed demonstration.
SkillsUSA is a CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) that teaches students technical skills and provides leadership opportunities to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members. Eaton RESA offers various career programs to its chapter of 100 students.

Week of 2/5/24 Athletics


Students in Mrs. Miller’s sixth grade science class recently built 3-D models of cells to demonstrate their competency of cells, structures and functions. The models labeled and described the organelles in cells. Students voted on the best cells and Paige B. Grace, T. Gavin T. And Lauren F. Were the winners. Congratulations six graders. All cells were amazing.






his week in 2nd grade our book study was, "Mr. Tanen’s Tie Trouble." Students had the opportunity to interview a friend to find out their interests. They took this information and designed them a tie of their own. Check out their awesome ties!
