Clinton County RESA Program Application due March 1st
Eaton County RESA Program Applications (Heavy Machinery/AIS) due Feb 15th
Dual Enrollment through LCC Contracts & Applications due April 15th
Advanced Placement (AP) Course Applications due March 15th
Work-Based Learning (Co-op) Applications due May 1st
Again, these are only for specialized courses. Regular course scheduling will happen later this spring once the Master Schedule has been built and details have been finalized for course options.

Happy Chinese New Year!! Students in Mrs. Sturdivant's class enjoyed learning about the Chinese New Year and enjoyed a Foodie Fun Friday project to go along with their learning! Students enjoyed Ramen and tried their hand at using chop sticks. Students also read their fortunes with friends.





Leonard Kindergarteners are 100 Days Smarter! We did a lot of wonderful counting as every student enjoyed rotating through all four Kindergarten classrooms and our Pre-first classroom for unique 100th day activities. Here’s what we did: Read a 100th day story Did 10 groups of 10 exercises Played a counting game called Sparkle Did stations like build with 100 cups, cubes, kisses and shapes. Enjoyed 100 licks of a lollipop.




Leonard kiddos really enjoyed Foodie Fun Friday. Kiddos heard a story about the Chinese New Year, got to use chopsticks🥢, eat Ramen Noodles🍜 and enjoy a fortune cookie 🥠. Great job being respectful, responsible and being your best! We are OE!

First grade students went on a field trip to AgroLiquid to learn more about where food comes from! They made and tasted butter and explored the farming equipment.

Students thoroughly enjoyed their PBIS Celebration last Friday. Leonard students met their Paw Ticket goal and were rewarded with a Magic Show! The Magician performed magic tricks, illusions and did some juggling! Leonard ROCKS!
Two Ovid-Elsie seniors from the Eaton RESA Heavy Equipment program (on-site at AIS Construction) qualified to move on to the SkillsUSA Regionals that will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Lansing Community College.
Hunter H. will be competing in the Heavy Equipment Diesel Repair contest where he will work effectively and rotate through 8 timed stations related to diesel technology. Examples of his contest include troubleshooting an engine, checking fluid levels on a piece of machinery, looking up parts for a repair, and completing a welding process.
Travis E. placed first in the local round of the Heavy Equipment Operator contest where he had to operate an excavator, skid steer, and a backhoe and maneuver them through a course. His competition will include a written test and showcase his skills in the use of all machines in a timed demonstration.
SkillsUSA is a CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) that teaches students technical skills and provides leadership opportunities to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members. Eaton RESA offers various career programs to its chapter of 100 students.

Some exciting things happening for OE FFA and congratulations are in order!
Abby T is one of three candidates for the Michigan FFA Star Farmer Award. She will be recognized and the winner announced during a ceremony on February 29th at the Wharton Center.
OE FFA was a Glassbrook Grant Recipient and received $2500 towards purchasing a chapter trailer.
OE FFA was well represented at the Regional Leadership Contests in Laingsburg on Wednesday. The OE FFA Demonstration team of Joshua M, Clay P, and Gavin W were the Regional Winners, earning Gold and moving on to the State Conference on February 29th at MSU. The Ag Issues and Greenhand Conduct of Meetings Team each earned Gold and are the Regional Alternates. Junior Public Speaker Rebecca L. earned Silver.
