Athletics - week of 5/20/24
Over the course of 2 months, Mrs. Jones' Kindergarten class worked on publishing their very own book. The students brainstormed different topics to write about and we ended up picking animals! The students were able to select an animal, research it, write about it and illustrate a picture. We worked really hard writing a draft and editing as we went along. Our book is called Animals A to Z and the students are so excited about it, as they were able to get their very own copies!

CCRESA Audio/Video Production, based at Ovid Elsie High School, took home best of show in short film in the state of Michigan at the annual DAFT Student Film Festival, beating all the Detroit area schools and film schools. We also took home 13 excellence awards. See the link for the winning video which will be shown at the Detroit Film Theater June 1st. My three students will receive trophy awards.

Reminder: Graduating seniors will be participating in the traditional "Clap Out" through the buildings - for parents looking to watch, it will start at the HS/MS at approx. 1:30pm, then Leonard Elem. at 1:50pm, and E.E. Knight at 2:10pm. Seniors will be required to ride the buses between buildings.
