As parents we are always looking for ways to help support our kids and understand the things they are experiencing in today's world and culture - so the Counseling Department would love to invite you to come check out two amazing speakers that we are bringing in to cover topics of mental health!
December 19th at 6:30pm in our HS Auditorium - Jeff Edwards will be here from Brighton, MI to speak to us about the challenges of parenting kids and how to see the warning signs you may not know are there so we can all work together to keep our kids safe especially with the holiday break coming up!
January 10th at 6:30pm in our HS Auditorium - Jeff Yalden (yes, another Jeff) will be visiting us from Florida to provide positive motivational messaging for parents, kids, and community members about how to be resilient and cope with difficult feelings and uncomfortable situations because he understands the journey of battling mental health issues.
Believe it or not, life is a lot different than it was 20 years ago, so it can be really helpful for us to try and understand what our kids are experiencing so we can help them learn how to deal with it and prepare them for adulthood in this new age. We look forward to seeing you all at these events so we can all be unified in supporting our kids! Both events open to the entire O-E community!
