Can we please have any Middle School student interested in participating in the afterschool MAT program come to the auditorium at 7:55am for a ten minute meeting.    

 Your Student Council are hosting a Kindness Spirit Week.  See your email for details.  

There will also be a hat day on Wednesday.  Wear a hat for $1.

 And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:

Question: On average how many apples does it take to make one gallon of cider?

Answer: A gallon of apple cider is made from approximately one-third of a bushel, or 36 apples. Composed of these fruits and nothing else, apple cider has no cholesterol and is a good source of potassium and iron.

And speaking of kindness, please remember to collect items to make Thanksgiving meals for local OE families.  Students can turn non-perishable items in to their 1st hour teachers through next Monday, Nov 21st.

Results from Saturday's OEMS Wrestling Team Tournament. We had a strong showing and really came together as a team. Every wrestler got wins for the team that propelled us to a 2nd place finish. 

Highlights of the Tournament 

William B, Landen V and Jeremiah S all won 4-0 and earned gold medals.

Levi S, Seth S, Ryker P, Chandler H and Ezuelo M all had 3 wins each.

 It was a great day for OEMS wrestling! Everyone had a great experience and showed improvement.  Go Marauders! 

 The 7th grade boys won both basketball games Monday against Chesaning.  The B team won another close game by the score 23-16.  The A team then won by the score of 37-4. The boys play at home today against Byron.  Good luck fellas!--

Your Spirit Week color tomorrow is RED for self love. 

Collins classroom is in the lead with Thanksgiving donations. They have brought in enough donations to fill 4 boxes so far! Way to go!

There is still time to give towards this Thanksgiving project.

We will continue to collect items through Monday next week. 

 

8th grade boys’ basketball results from Monday night: B team lost a close one to Chesaning 39 to 32 and the A team won 30 to 26 over Chesaning.

The 7th grade boys played an excellent overall team game to get the win over Byron by the score of 45-13. 

The boys play another home game tonight at 5:30 against Webberville! Good luck!

Monday the 8th graders defeated Chesaning on the road 30 to 26. Then came home for a big win Wednesday vs Byron.

 

We have a Toys 4 Tots box in the hallway for any new and unwrapped toys for local children.

If you are a hunter, don’t forget to share your photos of your harvested deer with Mr Hazle’s email.  Forms to score your deer are in the MS office.  Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.  Further details are in your email.

  We will have concessions tomorrow at the end of the day so bring your monies for the sugar sling!

Happy Birthday to Dylan M and Savannah P today and to Alexis C, Brady F, Braedyn B, Maggie P and to our amazing Parapro Mrs Ponteck over the weekend. Have a sensational birthday guys!

The 7th grade team lost a battle with Webberville last night by the score of 30-43.  The boys get back at it at home on Monday against Montrose.

The 8th grade team also lost to Webberville 29-35.  Tough night last night for everyone.  Let’s give it another go on Monday guys!
