We have all kinds of good news for you today: Wednesday is a half day of school. MS students will be released at 11:30am.
Hang on to yer bloomers cos, the Student Council has planned a few events for this week. Wednesday will be a Hat Day. Students can pay $1 in the MS lobby to wear a hat for the day.
Are you up for a fun challenge? Wednesday, bring your books to school in "Anything But a Backpack" day. If you choose to participate, whatever you bring MUST fit inside of your locker. Let's see your creativity while keeping your ideas school appropriate.
This Friday, Sept. 23, the Middle School will be having an after school activity from 3-5pm as part of our Homecoming Kick-Off. We will be showing the Minions Movie, Rise of Gru, along with an open gym and other activities. The cost is $3 to attend. Please see a student council member for more details.
And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:
Question: Which part of the human body has the smallest bone?
Answer: The ear.
Note: The smallest bone in the human body is the stapes bone in the ear. Stapes means stirrup and the bone is actually shaped like a teenie weenie stirrup.

Remember that students have a half day of school on Wednesday with an 11:30am release.

Hallway decorating for Spirit Week is tomorrow. 6th grade will decorate in their 1st hour classes, 7th and 8th grade will be in 6th and 7th hour. Teachers should have picked a superhero for their door theme by now. If you haven't, the possibilities are on the bulletin board outside Hazle’s room.

Mt. Morris have announced that they are going to have to cancel the MS girls’ basketball game this evening due to low numbers.
We have an early release for students at 11:30am today.
Please make sure that if you are wearing a hat, you have a band showing that you paid a $$ to Student Council.

We will not be selling concessions at the end of school tomorrow as concessions will be available for purchase at the after-school activity.
Today is the autumnal equinox. This date marks the start of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere. This is the moment when the Sun crosses the Equator, and those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere will begin to see more darkness than daylight.

We won’t be doing school wide concessions on the way out of school but they will be available during the after school event.
Our MS band is performing at the Football game tonight. Come on out to support your team and band!
On Monday, we will start our Homecoming Spirit Week. Monday is Superheroes day off, so wear your pajamas! Check your email for more information on our spirit week days and lunch fundraisers!
