    • Question: How old is the world’s oldest piece of chewing gum?

    • Answer: Approximately 5,700 years old!

    • Fun Facts: A piece of birch tar, found in Denmark and chewed as gum was found to be 5,700 years old and contained enough human DNA to reconstruct the full human genome of its Stone Age chewer, identify the microbes that lived in her mouth and even reveal the menu of a prehistoric meal!!!

Have a marvelous Monday!  And remember, it’s always a great day to have a great day!

Announcements Tuesday August 31st:

Today is Tuesday August 31st, 2021.  Please stand for the pledge…..

We will be calling classes to the high school auditorium for pictures this morning.  Even if you do not plan to purchase a picture packet you will still need a picture for your student id cards, the yearbook and Power school.

Today we have a Tuesday Kindness Challenge:

Be kind to yourself, your classmates, your school staff and our school. Do a good deed and keep our environment pleasant to be in by not dropping your trash from lunch, your bits of paper or even your pencils in the hallways and cafeteria.  Mrs Holley could go into business selling pencils with as many as she picks up all day long!

If you see litter in the hallways or in the cafeteria PICK IT UP!!!  It doesn’t have to be your litter.  Sanitize afterwards to stay safe!

Have a terrific Tuesday everybody and remember hard work may not be easy but it is definitely worth it!
