Here’s our quote for the week from Roy T. Bennett, “Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely. ”.

Have a tremendous Tuesday!!

Good morning staff and students!  Welcome to Ovid-Elsie Middle School where we are inspiring life-long learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world.  Today is Thursday February 25th, 2021.

Student Council news: I guess our Marauder dude was difficult to find! Yesterday he was in the gym, just outside of the girls locker room door. The winners for finding him can get a treat from the office now:

6th grader Jacob M

7th Grader Kiana B

& since no 8th graders guessed, a bonus 6th grader: Laila H.

Our marauder is in a new spot today! See if you can find him. If you do, keep it a secret & turn in your name & his location to the envelope in your homeroom.

Any 8th grade boys interested in basketball there will be a quick meeting at the end of your lunch period today.  Be on the lookout for Mr. Belill.  He’ll be coming down to meet with you all around 11:40!

And now it’s time for our Science Fact of the Week:

There are more trees on Earth than there are stars in our galaxy!

NASA experts believe there could be anywhere from 100 billion to 400 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy.  However, a 2015 paper published in the journal Nature estimated that the number of trees around the world is much higher: 3.04 trillion.

Have a Tremendous Thursday everybody!  Today’s a great day to have a great day!
