The 7th grade girls’ bathroom is out of commission until further notice due to vandalism. Please use the office bathroom or, during lunch, use the 6th grade lobby bathroom as usual.
The 8th grade bathroom is not permitted for 6th or 7th grade.
Anyone who would like to play chess next year, there is a meeting in Mr. Elliott’s room next Wednesday at 7:30am.
There is also a basketball meeting with Mrs.Tuma in her room tomorrow at 7:45am for any girls in 6th or 7th grade who are interested in playing school basketball in the fall.
Current 6th and 7th graders interested in playing youth football in the fall should stop by the office and pick up a flyer regarding upcoming registration. Both boys AND girls are encouraged to play!
Current 8th grade students who would like to request a schedule change to their freshman schedule must do so by 3pm today. Forms are in the office.
We will be doing sugar sling on Wednesday

12u baseball Team Fobear won last night against Morrice 7-6. Great job boys!!

In track news:
Yesterday, five Lady Marauders competed at the prestigious Junior Honor Roll Track Meet in Okemos, an invite-only event featuring some of the top athletes around the state.
And our new record board took a beating.
Isabelle I. finally reached her goal and broke the school record in the Pole Vault!
Bella S. shattered her own school record in the 400m Dash for the THIRD time this season.
Sofia C. also broke her own school record in the 800m Run for the second time this year.
Abby R. added to the big night by earning an impressive 8th place finish in the Long Jump.
Congratulations to all of these athletes for representing the Marauders with pride, determination, and toughness.
Reminder to invited athletes: practice after school today until 4:30 PM.
And one final reminder: if you have not turned in your track uniform, please do so by tomorrow.
A few notes for the celebration this afternoon, please use sunscreen if you have it, take a water bottle with you but remember that you are responsible for keeping track of it and, as always, cell phones are not permitted.
I'm sure that I don't have to remind you that we have a half day tomorrow - it is, of course, the last school day of the 2025-2026 school year!!

A quick word to our 8th grade: it has been a privilege to have you be a part of our middle school family for the last 3 years. Go forth and do wonderful things in high school, be kind & challenge yourselves to be a bit better everyday. Remember to us, once an OEMS student, always an OEMS student so don’t be a stranger!
