8th grade have PSAT tomorrow.  Please make sure you get a good night’s sleep, your Chromebook is fully charged, you eat some breakfast, and are here ready to go before 7:55 am.

LUNCH:

Lasagna roll-up, side salad, peach cup and milk.

Note:  Just in case you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know: It is set during the 1980s and features a mix of 80s nostalgia, supernatural mysteries, and government conspiracies.  It focuses on a group of friends dealing with the discovery of an alternate dimension known as the "Upside Down".  Oh and in case you wondered, the clothes and haircuts really were that awesome in the 80s!

8th graders have PSAT today.  6th and 7th grade please be supportive and make sure that you are moving quietly through the school at all times, especially passing time.  8th grade students, your breaks during the PSAT must be spent in the classroom.

6th grade - there are no phones on the field trip.  Take a jacket, but you do not need your backpacks or other belongings.

Breakfast expectations - 

Drop your personal belongings at your locker BEFORE going to breakfast.  As always, phones must be turned off immediately upon entering the building and put in lockers, so in no circumstances should they ever be in the cafeteria.

Good morning Marauders!

Our track team kicked off the season yesterday with a strong showing. The Lady Marauders opened up 2-0, while the boys battled their way to a 1-1 finish.

Huge performances from Bella S.and Jackson K, who combined for five first-place finishes—an incredible start to the season!

We saw grit all across the track, from start to finish. Levi S. continues to put in the work to become a stronger sprinter, and Grace L. showed us all what it means to push through adversity.  Also, congratulations to our first Megastar qualifiers Grace L, Sofia C., Raven P., and Blakeleigh Z. 

We’re back home next Tuesday—come out and support your Marauder Machine!

And reminder: practice today will be in the gym.

Student Council members, please check your email for a survey from Mrs. Willbanks that needs to be filled out by the end of the day today.

Current 6th and 7th-graders interested in playing youth football in the fall should stop by the office and pick up a flyer regarding upcoming registration dates. Both boys AND girls are encouraged to play!”

There is information in the office for a Construction Camp being held at the Lansing GMCA June 15-18 for students ages 12-18.  It’s a great opportunity for hands-on experience in multiple trades.

We will have concessions tomorrow at the end of the day so bring your monies for the sugar sling!

Happy Birthday over the weekend to Troy A, Colten B, Marcus P, Karscen W & to Max V.  Have a great birthday guys.  We also have a very special birthday in the office today.  So much of what he does goes unnoticed or is under-appreciated, but it is absolutely essential to the welfare of the school.  He fights the good fight for us every single day!  He can play every musical instrument you could imagine, loves Starbucks more than life & believes that cake is over-rated and cheesecake is where it’s at (because he’s crazy!).  It is, of course, Mr Ormsbee.  Have an amazing day Mr Ormsbee!!
