Announcements Monday 11/10/2025:
Good morning staff and students! Welcome to Ovid-Elsie Middle School where we are inspiring life-long learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world. Today is Monday November 10th, 2025. Please stand for the pledge…..
FFA fruit and nut orders are due Wednesday. Also there will be a meeting on Thursday at 7:30am before school in Mrs Miller’s room to discuss the leadership contest.
It is a PBIS week peeps!!! The focus this week is on appropriate hallway behavior. I know the rules can seem like overkill sometimes but you have to remember that we are in a school of almost 300 people and behaviors which don’t seem like a big deal in a group of 4-5, can cause injuries when there are 300 people walking the halls.
Reminder students are not permitted in the hallways during lunch. Bring everything you need to the cafeteria - water bottles, snacks, etc.
Wrestling News:
Last Tuesday night our Middle School team wrestled against Chesaning and Byron. .
Our wrestlers looked good in their opening matches of the season.
On Friday they took the mats at Mt. Morris High School. For the 1st tournament of the season they looked great. As a team they won 24 matches and lost 13. We are proud of the team!
The following students all took 1st place:
Bentlee R, Maxwell B, Channing C, Grant M, Brantley N. and Braxton E.
The following students all took 2nd place:
Thomas C, Zeke W, Jhamal H. and Logan S.
Lucas B, Logan W. and Marcus P.
We step back on the mats Tuesday night at New Lothrop High School
LUNCH:
Philly cheese steak sandwich, sweet potato fries, peach cup and milk.
And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:
Question: What geyser in Yellowstone National Park is known for erupting roughly every 90 minutes?
Answer: Old Faithful
Class: Mrs. Miller
Note: Old Faithful is one of nearly 500 geysers in Yellowstone and one of six that park rangers currently predict. It is uncommon to be able to predict geyser eruptions with regularity and Old Faithful has lived up to its name, only lengthening the time between eruptions by about 30 minutes in the last 30 years.
Have a marvelous Monday everybody!

We are 2 ½ weeks into MP2 and I’m starting to see quite a number of failing grades, which are almost always a result of missing assignments. Get those assignments in people It’s really hard to come back from a 0.
LUNCH:
Biscuit and gravy, sausage links, tater tots, fruit juice and milk.
It’s Hump Day and we now have the inspirational quote of the week from Charles R. Swindoll to get you over the hump:
Quote:
Which is pretty awesome because you might not have control over some of the things that happen in your life but you do have total control over how you react and act.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everybody! We’re halfway there so let’s make the rest of this week really count!
