Happy Birthday today to Blayne F. Have a wonderful birthday Blayne!
A couple of issues have been cropping up:
No gum. It is getting on the carpet and onto people's clothes. It is in the handbook that it is not permitted in school.
Please stop putting pencils in the latch of your lockers. If your locker is not locked it cannot protect your personal belongings. You are responsible for the security of your own belongings.
There will be arts and crafts practice after school this afternoon for the X-Country team to make team awards!
There is still 1 more day to bring in your carved or painted pumpkins for the competition. Bring them in tomorrow before 8am to be in the contest. Prizes will be given after the 5th hour.
As Halloween approaches, just a reminder about costumes:
No full face masks or covered faces.
No weapons or gore.
No inflatable costumes during school.
Costumes must meet the school dress code. Check it out on the school website in the handbook if you are not sure about that.
There will be a costume contest - the best costume, the most unique and the best duo or group.
The Halloween Party is next Friday from 3-4:30, tickets will be $3 and are available on the day in the morning, or at lunch.
8th Graders: The Career Expo is coming up next week on Thursday, November 6th. If you haven't already done so, please turn in your permission slips. Only students who we can verify have parent permission by turning in a slip will be allowed to attend.
The winner of the coin wars will be announced tomorrow morning.
LUNCH:
Sloppy joe, french fries, peach cup and milk.
And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:
Question: Which horror movie features creepy twins in The Overlook hotel?
Answer: The Shining
Class: Mrs. Miller
Note: The 1980 horror movie The Shining is based on Stephen King's novel of the same name, it was inspired by a nightmare that he had during his stay at the, nearly deserted, Stanley Hotel in Colorado, on a winter break.
Have a marvelous Monday everybody!
