Good morning staff and students!  Welcome to Ovid-Elsie Middle School where we are inspiring life-long learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world.  Today is Monday October 13th, 2025.  Please stand for the pledge…..

Happy Birthday today to Aubrey R. Have a wonderful birthday Aubrey!

The Halloween band concert is not this Wednesday but next.  Pop it in your diaries to come out and support your MS band!

We have only 2 weeks left in the marking period so verify that you have ALL of your assignments completed and handed in and that you have not accumulated any missing assignments in the bottom of your lockers!

We have a couple of grade level reward parties coming up with rigorous requirements for no missing assignments, good behavior and few tardies.  In addition to getting your assignments submitted, make sure that you are getting into class on time and are following our school expectations.  Speaking of which:  It is a PBIS review week for all of us to get an expectation refresher!

LUNCH:

Philly cheesesteak sandwich, sweet potato fries, peach cup and milk.

And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:

Question: What U.S. city is known as the “Witchcraft Capital?”

Answer: Salem, Massachusetts

Class:

Note: Salem, Massachusetts is famous for the 1692-1693 Salem witch trials, a series of hearings and prosecutions where over 200 people were accused of witchcraft, resulting in 19 executions by hanging, one man pressed to death, and others dying in prison. The trials were rooted in religious extremism, social tensions, and mass paranoia in colonial Massachusetts.

Have a marvelous Monday everybody!
