Our fabulous counselor, Mrs Garcia’s birthday was also yesterday!!  We are so thankful that you joined our family Mrs Garcia.  Hope that you had a great birthday/Labor Day!

Those students who are already FFA members or who would like to be in FFA should come to Mrs. Miller's room tomorrow morning to learn about attending the fall leadership conference.  Application and deposits to attend will be due on 9/9

LUNCH:

Crispitos, refried beans, black beans, mandarin oranges and milk.

And now it’s time for Trivia Tuesday, so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:

Question: What item harvested from a farm is more likely to spontaneously combust when it is wet, than when it is dry?

Answer: Hay bales.

Class: Miller.

Note: Moist or poorly dried hay can spontaneously combust due to internal heat generated by respiration and oxidation, a risk that is greatest in the first few weeks after baling. The primary cause is moisture trapped within the hay bales, which encourages microbial and chemical activity, increasing the temperature to the point of ignition.

Have a marvelous Monday everybody!
