  • We are all in desperate need of the sun for our health and happiness but it is just not obliging so we will have to be the sunshine ourselves as the Kindness Challenge this week.   Shine on folks!

  • Spring Play Auditions are tomorrow afternoon, February 4th @ 3pm and Wednesday, 5th @ 3pm in the HS Auditorium.

  • Attention Student Council members, we will have a meeting Wednesday morning this week. 

  • Speaking of Student Council, everyone is invited to the dance they are putting on next week. It is a black/light neon GLOW dance next Thursday after school. Tickets are $3 and will be sold in the lobby in the mornings beginning this Thursday. You can also buy a t-shirt for $7 to make for the dance and use student council’s special neon t-shirt markers. 

  • The 7th grade students will be selling Valentines in the lobby before schools. Costs ranging from $1 to $3.

  • A reminder that tomorrow is wear your favorite team gear!

  • We had one student birthday over the weekend.  Hope that you had a great day Matthew K.  Happy birthday today to Sam H, Brayden O and Matthew V.  

  • And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday, Teachers please call Extension 1420 when you have heard the entire question:

  • Question: What animal is eaten as a delicacy in Peru and kept as a pet in the US?

  • Answer: Guinea Pig - awwwww! :(

  • Fun Facts:  Called Cuy and pronounced 'kwee' this indigenous mammal has been a staple in Peru's Andean diet for around 5,000 years. (It even has its own national holiday on the second Friday of October.)  Apparently it tastes like a cross between rabbit and chicken.

Today is Tuesday February 4th, 2020

  • Let’s be a bright light for ourselves and others this week.  Make an effort to brighten up someone’s day with a smile or a kind word.

  • Spring Play Auditions are this afternoon, February 4th @ 3pm and Wednesday, 5th @ 3pm in the HS Auditorium. If you have questions on what the play will be about or how auditions work,  please see Mrs. Willbanks. 

  • Attention Student Council members, we will have a meeting tomorrow morning.

  • This Thursday we will be selling cotton candy at the end of school for $3 to support Justin Cole.

  • Neon GLOW dance is next Thursday after school. Tickets are $3 and will be sold in the lobby in the mornings beginning this Thursday. For $7 extra you can make your own Neon T-Shirt.

  • The 7th grade students will be selling Valentines in the lobby before schools. Costs ranging from $1 to $3.

  • The 7th grade boys basketball team once again walked away with 2 victories over Durand last night!  The B Team once again pulled away in the second half for a 29-16 victory.  The A Team had to come from behind to pull off a last second 43-42 victory.  Great wins by both teams.

  • Our 8th grade boys basketball played against Durand with the B team winning 52-33 and the A team winning 45-39.  Fantastic job teams!

  • We have one teacher's birthday today.  Our very own Wizard of the Math World, Mrs Huhn is celebrating her birthday.  Hope that it’s a great day Mrs Huhn!

  • Let’s be a bright light for ourselves and others this week.  Make an extra effort to make everybody feel like somebody today.

  • Forms are in the office for the Carson Vincent Memorial Basketball Tournament.  This is open to boys and girls' teams 3rd through 12th grade.

  • Science Olympiad practice is today after school from 3:10 to 4:30 in Mr. Wertz’s room.

  • Spring Play Auditions are this afternoon @ 3pm in the HS Auditorium. If you have questions on what the play will be about or how auditions work,  please see Mrs. Willbanks. 

  • Students Challenge is this Thursday morning at 7:20 AM in the high school woodshop.  All students and staff are welcome to attend and refreshments will be provided.

Today is Thursday February 6th, 2020

  • Build up your peers this week guys.  It doesn’t make you appear better when you tear somebody down but you do shine when you build another person up!

  • Forms are in the office for the Carson Vincent Memorial Basketball Tournament.  This is open to boys and girls' teams 3rd through 12th grade.

  • Attention student council members: your student council shirts have come in that say “We’ve always got your back.” Please see Mrs. Willbanks for yours at any time today, and wear them tomorrow since they are blue and gold for Friday.

  • Tickets are available for the Neon Glow Dance for $3 and will be sold in the lobby in the mornings through Wednesday. For $7 extra you can make your own Neon T-Shirt.  The dance is next Thursday 3-4:45pm.

  • OE 8th grade B team beat Chesaning B team 25 to 23 and the A team beat their Chesaning opponents 60 to 58.  Congratulations again to the 8th grade boys' basketball team!

  • The 7th grade team also had a couple of good games at Chesaning. The B team lost a hard fought game by the score of 28-29.  The A team’s defense carried them to a 44-37 victory.

  • We have a couple of birthdays to announce.  Happy Birthday to Miss Autumn S yesterday.  Hope that you had a great day Autumn. And Happy Birthday to Steven P today.  Have a good one Steven!
