It’s the beginning of our first 5 day week!  You’ve got this Peeps!

For those of you who applied to the Student Council, you will be hearing from  Mrs Pontack on Friday in an email.  No information will be coming out before Friday.

If you are interested in joining the chess club please see Mr Elliott or Levi White for more information.

Just a reminder that you must take care of your mess at breakfast and lunch, both on the floor and the table.  You will only receive a warning once before you will have a detention.

Happy Birthday today to Teighlor S and Autumn G. Have a wonderful birthday guys!

Early release for X Country - The bus will be leaving at 2:30 pm so we will have a  2:15 pm. dismissal. 

We have 2 winning classes for the paperwork return challenge:

Mrs Duckert and Mrs Baese’s classes.  Nice job guys!!  Some of the tech paperwork was turned directly into the IC so we are not counting that, in case you were worried.  

Keep going 7th and 8th grade, you still have a chance to win your grade level.  Talk to your 1st hour teacher to find out if you are missing any paperwork. 


We will be starting Pickle/Popcorn Wednesdays next week.  Bring $1 to lunch next week on Wednesday to purchase a pickle.

In sports news:

The Cross Country team ran at Chesaning for their first conference meet of the year yesterday.  The girls finished 2nd overall with Bella S and Macy J leading the way.  Not far behind were 6th graders Blakeleigh Z and Scout P.  On the boys’ side it ended up being one Marauder that finished but steadfast determination Will Baese finished 1st overall for the 2nd straight week.  Coach Snyder is still looking for 3-4 boys to help Will and Logan score points as a team.  See him if you are interested.

There is a middle school FFA meeting Friday morning at 7:30 am in Mrs Millers room.  

In sports news:

The 7th and 8th grade girls won their basketball games against Webberville on Wednesday.  

The 7th grade won with a shot during the last few seconds by the score of 15-13.

The 8th grade pulled away in the fourth quarter to win their game by the score of 34-22.

Next week is Homecoming week.  It is not permitted to stay after school next Friday until the parade.  You must leave as usual and return if you want to participate.  The school is NOT open to students after 3pm.  

We will be having the following Spirit Days:

Mon - Pajama Day

Tues - Skittles class colors

Wed - Jolly Rancher dress like a cowboy/cowgirl

Thurs - Smarties dress like a genius

Fri - OE School Spirit Blue/Gold


LUNCH:

Pizza, red peppers, pineapple and milk.

We will have concessions tomorrow at the end of the day so bring your monies for the sugar sling and don’t forget that pickle day starts next Wednesday.  Bring $1 for a pickle to lunch on Wednesday!

Happy Birthday to one of the sweetest people out there.  She’s got a heart the size of Texas and we are blessed by her devotion to the school and her students.  Happy Birthday Mrs Willbanks!!!  Also over the weekend Tiana C is celebrating her birthday.  Have a sensational birthday Tiana!

6th hour Performing Arts - do NOT go to the HS.  Please go to Mrs Miller’s classroom.

I’m starting to see tardies creep up.  Get to class, on time and with all of your materials, ready to go.  Tardies result in detentions with your teacher, office detentions and Saturday, or after school detentions.  Also grade level celebrations exclude students with 2 or more tardies.  Don’t miss out guys!
