Monday, March 4: Voting for our March Madness Book Bracket has commenced! Please check for an email from Mrs. Collins to cast your vote. All votes must be in by the end of the day on Wednesday. Books moving to the next round will be announced on Thursday morning.
There is Science Olympiad practice after school this afternoon.
Tomorrow morning there will be a JV Football Sign-up meeting for 8th Grade Boys at 7:45 am, in the Middle School Gym.
A wee reminder that we have PT Conferences on Thursday and the book fair will be open during that time.
March 15th and 16th, the OEMS Performing Arts Dept will be presenting Legally Blonde. Tickets can be purchased online.
And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:

Note: The full-grown blue whale is so heavy that just its tongue can weigh more than an entire elephant- that means that it can be heavier than 7,000 kilograms!

6th and 7th grade band are performing tonight at 6-7pm. Stop by to support your MS band.
Tuesday, March 5: Our bookmark competition is in full swing! Create a unique design for your bookmark and submit it to your LA teacher by March 13 to be entered into the competition. The whole school will vote on the bookmarks on March 18. 1st place will have their bookmark printed and laminated for the whole school and receive a poster. 2nd and 3rd place will receive a poster.
Wednesday is pajama day! Wear your pjs to school and bring something cozy for our whole school silent read in 7th hour. Don't forget to bring your books!
8th grade boys who are interested in HS and summer basketball will be meeting in Mr Brown’s room (Rm 112), on Thursday, at 7:30am.
There is no school for students on Friday so we will have the sugar sling on Thursday afternoon. We also have PT Conferences after school on Thursday and the book fair will be open during that time.
Our 8th grade will be performing with the HS band at the Band Festival on Friday night at 7:50 pm in Owosso. Go and check it out, hear some amazing music and support your OE band!

Submit your bookmark designs to your LA teacher by next Wednesday, March 13th, to be entered into the competition. The whole school will vote on the bookmarks on March 18. 1st place will have their bookmark printed and laminated for the whole school and receive a poster. 2nd and 3rd place will receive a poster.
