SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

2024 Scholarship Applications have started to be released - check THIS link often for updates and deadlines.

LOCAL O-E SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 15, 2024.

FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) Made Easy!

With the new FAFSA form, GoingMerry has discontinued their FAFSA portal and the only option for completing the Federal Application For Student Aid is to go through the official government website found below:

Government FAFSA Website

When filling out the FAFSA, you will need financial (tax) information from both of your parents - check this DOCUMENT if you have questions about who to consider as your parents or what to do if you are unable to access that information for one or both of them.

Scholarships Are For Everyone!

There are so many places you can use to locate scholarships. The following links will take you to the top 5 national scholarship sites and some local ones.

Going Merry

Fastweb

Scholarships.com

Chegg

College Board

Shiawassee Community Foundation

Cook Family Foundation

Don't forget to check the individual college/universities for their own scholarships - some even have specific one's based on your chosen major!

Local OE scholarships will be put out in February and will be available in the Counseling Office.

REMEMBER: Some scholarships are "renewable" which means you can reapply for the money each year! Keep a list somewhere with links to those scholarships so you can remember to revisit them annually and keep cashing in those checks!
