Good Morning staff and students! Welcome to Ovid-Elsie Middle School where we are inspiring life-long learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world. Today is Monday October 26th, 2020.
-With Saturday being Halloween, your teachers have decided that you can still dress up in costume on Friday. Yay! You just need to be school appropriate, no weapons, no masks (other than your normal face masks you wear daily), and please come to school ready so there is no getting ready in the bathrooms or sharing of materials. You are allowed to wear some face paint and a hat if it goes along with your costume. Let's see how creative you can be! Student Council is also preparing some special treats & a movie during Advisory to spice up your day on Friday.
-There is a pumpkin decorating contest going on until Thursday. Upload a picture of your painted or carved pumpkin to the padlet link emailed to you on Saturday. There are already some great ones on there! Gift card winners will be announced Friday morning. Any questions, ask a student council member.
-The MSU/UofM game is this Saturday! Let's have a coin war of which team you think is better! There will be 2 large coin jugs outside of the office. Put COINS in your favorite team to earn points for them. Put DOLLARS in the OTHER team's jug to take points AWAY from them. We'll do this THIS week & NEXT week. All the money raised will go to the Elsie Food Pantry....thanks to a special Student Council member for this great idea!

Today is Tuesday October 27th, 2020.
Friday is Halloween Costume Day. You can wear your school appropriate costumes with your daily face mask, no costume masks and no weapons. We are having a MSU/UofM coin war to celebrate the big game this Saturday! We have 2 large coin jugs outside the office. Put COINS in your favorite team to earn points for them. Put DOLLARS in the OTHER team's jug to take points AWAY from them. All the money raised will go to the Elsie Food Pantry.
We have some Fruit and Nut Fundraiser Packets in the office for FFA students to pick up.

Today is Thursday October 29th, 2020.
Tomorrow is Halloween Costume Day. Don’t forget that you will still have to wear your protective mask and that you must come to school in your costumes as you cannot get ready in the bathroom or share materials.
Today is the last day to order the Class of 2024, Military Appreciation Fundraiser T-Shirts so if you have an order please bring it to the office.
Today is also the last day to enter the Pumpkin Decorating Contest online, so please have your photo uploaded to the padlet by 4pm.
Bring in your spare change for the MSU/UofM coin war to celebrate the big game this Saturday and raise money for the Elsie Food Pantry. We’ll be doing this next week too with the last day being next Thursday. What will the winning team get?? Well….the winning school’s fight song will be played on the PA next Friday morning & Mr. Powell will have to dress up in the winning teams gear that day too! I hear he’s a Spartan fan, so let’s go Michigan…..
