Good Morning staff and students  Welcome to Ovid-Elsie Middle School where we are inspiring life-long learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world. Today is Monday, September 30th, 2019.  Please stand for the pledge: I pledge allegiance to the flag …

  • For this week’s Kindness Challenge: Let’s think about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.  Be accountable for your own choices. In other words, if you choose to do it, be sure that you would be willing to admit it!

  • Robotics practice is today after school until 4:30.

  • And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday, Teachers please call Extension 1420 when you have heard the entire question and remember, NO HELPING:

    • Question: What is the only metal that's not solid at room temperature?

    • Answer: Mercury.

    • Fun Facts: Mercury has a very high surface tension, so it forms rounded beads of liquid.  It is now known to be highly toxic but was used in makeup for much of history.

Have a marvelous Monday!  And remember, it’s always a great day to have a great day!

  • For this week’s Kindness Challenge: Let’s think about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.   Improving our character is a matter of choosing to change and making the effort. We don't change and become wiser, kinder, more patient or more self-disciplined automatically. We do so by deliberately working at being that kind of person.

  • A reminder that gym clothes must be school appropriate.

  • Student Challenge will be meeting in the 8th grade students work room this THURSDAY from 7:15AM to 7:50AM.  Refreshments are provided and all students and staff are welcome to attend.
