Marauder Track & Field — Morning Announcement

MS Huskie Invite — Breckenridge, May 7, 2026

In track and field news.

Yesterday at the MS Huskie Invite in Breckenridge, our girls track team brought home a 1st place overall finish, and our boys competed hard against a deep field of schools.

A few moments worth recognizing:

On the girls' side

Isabelle I. won the pole vault at 7 feet even — a first-place championship effort.

Sofia C. took 2nd in the 800-meter run with her season's best time.

And our girls 4x400 relay consisting of Abby R., Peyton G., Addison K., and Raven P. held on to 2nd place and cemented the team win over a field of 18 other tough teams.

On the boys' side

Jackson K. ran with tough competition all day, finishing 4th in the 100 meters.

Hunter H. tripled up in the 800, the 3200, and the 4x800 — three distance races on one long long long day..

And the boys 4x800 of Landon D., Drew J., Lincoln P., and Hunter H. answered the call when the team needed them.

As much as we may need some rest there is practice today after school until 5pm.  We’ve got another invite on Monday at Fowler, home of the Eagles.

LUNCH:

Chicken patty sandwich, french fries, grapes and milk.

We have the sugar sling at the end of the day.

And now it’s time for the best time of the week, Ms. Holley’s Chuckle Time:

Question:  What's brown, hairy and wears sunglasses?

Answer: A coconut on vacation.

Have a fantastic Friday everybody!   It looks like today is a great day to have a great day!!
