The results are finally in and we need to send a huge congratulations to the Jr. High FFA Agronomy Team.  They have won the State Championship in Agronomy.  The team  competed on April 17th at Michigan State in the Agronomy Contest.  The FFA Agronomy Contest, is a competition where members demonstrate knowledge in crop production, soil science, entomology, and plant health management. 

8th grade are sitting the MSTEP Science tomorrow.  Please ensure your Chromebooks are charged and you are in school before 7:55am, ready to go with a good breakfast in your tummies. 

Volleyball camp for girls & boys K-8th;  June 8-10th.  Cost is $30 and includes a T-Shirt.  Fliers in the office.

LUNCH:

Pulled pork sandwich, french fries, peach cup and milk.

Happy Birthday today to Terry E.. Have a wonderful birthday buddy!

8th grade are sitting the MSTEP Science today.  This means that the rest of us have to be especially quiet and respectful in the hallways, particularly during passing time.  Get your stuff quietly from your lockers and go to class.  Please do not hang out chatting as this disturbs our testers.

6th & 7th grade have LA MSTEP tomorrow so please make sure that you have your Chromebooks, fully charged, and headphones with a lead, not Bluetooth.

We have fliers in the office for a summer volleyball camp for girls & boys K-8th;  June 8-10th.  Cost is $30 and includes a T-Shirt.  Questions to Coach Ehle.  

Current 6th and 7th graders interested in playing youth football in the fall should stop by the office and pick up a flyer regarding upcoming registration dates. Both boys AND girls are encouraged to play!”

No more gel filled fidgets or goo please.  We have had a number of messy disasters.  Fidgets must not be messy or disruptive.

6th & 7th grade have LA MSTEP again tomorrow so please make sure that you have your Chromebooks, fully charged, and headphones with a lead, not Bluetooth.

There is also information in the office for a Construction Camp being held at the Lansing GMCA June 15-18. 

MARAUDER TRACK & FIELD

MMAC Meet — April 28, 2026

Congratulations to our track teams! Both our Boys and Girls teams defeated Mt. Morris and Webberville, but fell short to New Lothrop in overall team scoring yesterday at home

Boys Standouts include Ethan J. who competed across multiple events showing versatility and grit, Gage B. contributed in relays and PR’s in the Long Jump, and Liam F. competed in sprints and also threw his personal best in the shot put.

Girls Standouts include Blakeleigh Z. who earned 1st in the 70m dash and High Jump (both PRs), Trinadee M. took home 1st in 200m Hurdles and 2nd in 55m Hurdles, and Bella S. won the 400m and anchored the 4x200 relay to victory which was also just 4 tenths of a second shy of breaking the school record.  4 tenths of a second!  That’s how long it takes Coach Snyder to get from his desk to the teacher’s lounge for Mrs. Greider’s goodies on Thursday!  

We’d like to especially thank Mr. Kingsbury for coming out and taking pictures of our team and parents at yesterday’s meet along with Mrs. Bushard and Coach Hufnagel for helping out with some important duties at the meet. 

Practice today after school in the gym for starters.

FFA members:  The FFA Banquet and award Ceremony is this Sunday in the High School Cafeteria starting at 2:00 pm, please bring a dish to pass.  Details were sent to all members and parents via rooms.
