  • Build up your peers this week guys.  It doesn’t make you appear better when you tear somebody down but you do shine when you build another person up!

  • Forms are in the office for the Carson Vincent Memorial Basketball Tournament.  This is open to boys and girls' teams 3rd through 12th grade.

  • The 7th grade students are selling Valentines in the lobby before school Mon through Thursday.  Costs ranging from $1 to $3.

  • Tickets are available for the Neon Glow Dance for $3 and will be sold in the lobby in the mornings through Wednesday. For $7 extra you can make your own Neon T-Shirt.  The dance is Thursday 3-4:45pm. Student Council members please turn in your parent chaperone sheets to Mrs Willbanks or Mr Fluharty as soon as possible. We desperately need chaperones for the dance in 2 days!

  • We have a few birthdays to announce today. Dale M, Trace T, Danica B, Trey M and Evan N had their birthdays over our surprise long weekend and today it is Cody H birthday.  Hope that you all have had a great birthday guys!!

  • We also have some Golden Ticket Positive Peers Stars to report:  Congratulations to Michael R, Robbie M, Laiken W, Clarissa B, Logan W and Baylee M for making excellent choices that help out other students and make the school a better place to be!  Please come down to the office to get your reward.

  • Just remember that this week we are showing our friends some love so give a kind word, a friendly gesture and a listening ear.

  • In an effort to build each other up the PALS (Peer Assistance Leaders group) has created a positive post it project. You may have noticed the positive post its around the middle school. Please help spread the positivity and share kindness with others. Pass along a positive note or slip someone a kind word. Let’s spread some sunshine to brighten their day.

Announcements 2/13/2020

Today is Thursday February 13th, 2020.  

  • For the Kindness Challenge today let’s show our love for others in Valentine’s Week by sharing.  Share something that is meaningful to you, to show someone that you care.

  • The 7th grade boys’ basketball A team traveled to Mt. Morris last night and walked out with a convincing  51-21. The 8th grade boys’ basketball B team won against Mt Morris 43-31, 8th grade A team won 58 against Mt Morris 44.  Team defense, transition offense, and an overall great effort lead the boys to the victory.      

  • The Lions of Michigan All State Band participants will again be having their dodgeball tournament. It will take place at the Ovid Elsie High School on Friday March 6. The doors will open at 5 with the tournament starting at 6. 

  • The Neon Glow Dance is this afternoon from 3-4:45pm.  If you have bought a ticket please leave your bags and phones in your lockers and come to the lobby with your ticket after school.  Reminder that NO ONE is allowed in the halls during the dance. The doors will be closed until 4:40.

  •  Student Council members: reminder to get teacher permission to help decorate during the 6th or 7th hour time frame that you signed up for. 

  • A reminder that the Tuesday that we come back to school will be a WEAR YOUR CAUSE day.  So wear the shirt that supports the cause that you believe in.

  • We have some birthdays coming up over the mini break:  Happy birthday to Johnie H, Alexis F and Mikayla B!  Have a great day guys!
