  • This week’s kindness challenge is in the spirit of the New Year and New Beginnings: Winston Churchill once said “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.”.  Be kind to yourself if you don’t get it right the first time but keep on trying.

  • And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday, Teachers please call Extension 1420 when you have heard the entire question::

  • Question: The beginning of the New Year is marked every year by a ball dropping in Times Square.  How long does it take the ball to drop?

  • Answer: A minute.

  • Fun Facts:  The first New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square was held in 1907.  Today the ball is 12 feet in diameter and is made with 2,688 Waterford Crystal triangles, handmade in Ireland.  It is worth over $1 million.
