  • Our weekly Kindness Challenge this week is to be positive!  Being positive motivates us and the people around us to try and try again.

  • Anyone interested in middle school student challenge can come to the high school woodshop this Thursday before school. 

  • We have one student birthday today.  Happy birthday to Aiden H! Have a great day buddy!

  • Our weekly Kindness Challenge this week is to be positive!  A positive outlook towards life steers you to look for the good stuff instead of focusing on the negative and makes you happier.  Positive you is also more fun and rewarding to be around for everyone else.

  • Anyone interested in middle school student challenge can come to the high school woodshop this Tomorrow before school. 

  • Middle School Cross Country will be dismissed at 2:45pm today.  Good Luck tonight!!!

Announcements 09/05/2019

  • Our weekly Kindness Challenge this week is to be positive!  As we go into flu season it’s interesting to know that a positive attitude actually strengthens our immune system; so wash your hands AND choose to see the world as a good place and you just might beat the germs this year!

  • Last night over 30 cross country teams competed at the Marauder Invitational held at Uncle Johns Cider Mill.  Coach Pastula’s team represented Ovid Elsie Middle School quite well. Out of the 144 runners in the men’s division Clay P came in 12th with a time of 13:03  and Talan P in 13th place with a time of 13:04 both securing medals for the Marauders! Out of 151 runners in the girl’s division, Kaia S came in 26th place with a time of 14:52 earning another medal for the Marauders. Great job to all of our cross country runners!

  • Friday is our OE spirit day so don’t forget to wear your blue and gold OE wear proudly.

  • A reminder that tomorrow is a half day with dismissal at 11:25 and the concessions stand open to feed your sugar cravings!

Announcements 09/06/2019

  • Let’s finish out the week on a positive note and what’s more positive than a half day?!  The saying ‘good things happen to good people’ works for positivity too. Positive things happen to positive people because positivity fosters all sorts of good character traits like optimism, courage and kindness.  

  • Happy OE spirit day!

  • A reminder that we have a half day with dismissal at 11:25 and the concessions stand open at the end of the day.

  • Your OE marching band will be leading the Carriage Days parade on Saturday at 11am in Ovid.  Stop out and support them if you have the chance, on your way to the elephant ear stand!

  • Our first robotics team practice will be next Tuesday September 10 after school until 4:30 in Mr. Wertz’s room.  All 7th and 8th graders are welcome even if you didn’t already sign-up.

  • Reminder that students should not be hanging out in the halls before school.  If it is your grades’ designated day to use the gym, then that is where you should be.  If you want to sit and talk, please use the bleachers in the gym. Everyone else should be actively walking down the main hall.

  • Finally, we have one very special birthday today….Happy Birthday to our fearless leader, Mr Powell!!  Don’t forget to wish him a good day if you see him in the halls today!

We also have 3 student birthdays over the weekend.  Have a great birthday Haley B, Kailee P and Grace G!!!
