Announcements 08/26/2019

Good Morning staff and students  Welcome to Ovid-Elsie Middle School where we are inspiring life-long learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world. Today is Monday, August 26th, 2019.  Please stand for the pledge: I pledge allegiance to the flag …

  • Our weekly Kindness Challenge this week is to stop gossip.  Rumors and gossip can only exist if people choose to talk about them.  First try changing the subject, next try shutting them down and finally remember that you ALWAYS have the power to walk away.

  • Don’t forget that auditions for the Fall school play are Tuesday, August 27th and Wednesday, August 28th at 3:00 pm in the HS Auditorium. Contact Mrs. Bashore if you have any questions or want to try out and can’t make it to the audition dates.

  • And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday, Teachers please call Extension 1420 when you have heard the entire question and remember, NO HELPING:

Question: What is the highest temperature ever recorded in the US?

Answer: 134 degrees F.

Notes: This was recorded in Death Valley on July 10, 1913.  Death Valley, California, is famous as the hottest, driest, lowest place in North America. Average highs in the summer months in these barren salt flats regularly hit above 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Have a great beginning to a great week and remember it’s always a good day to have a good day!
