Dear Marauders:
As another summer comes to pass and students begin returning to campus, fond memories of Friday night lights and cheers echoing through the air remind us that the new school year is just around the corner! We are excited to welcome everyone back and get into the swing of things as school officially begins on Tuesday, September 3rd for all students.
The Ovid-Elsie teaching staff has been hard at work this summer reviewing the Common Core Curriculum and making necessary changes to improve teaching and learning and to address achievement gaps. Our technology and maintenance staff have also worked hard to make sure that everything is ready to go and that our buildings and grounds are looking sharp! I would like to take this opportunity to welcome new staff, family and friends as well as bid farewell to those moving on from our school community.
Ovid-Elsie Area Schools works hard to communicate to our students, families and community. Annual reports, notifications, calendars and much more back-to-school information is located on our website at ovidelsie.org. Additionally, regular communications are posted on our Facebook page and Twitter account. Most importantly, we encourage you to make sure your PowerSchool account is up-to-date so that you have accurate information on student achievement, attendance, schedules, etc. Maintaining accuracy in PowerSchool will help to ensure that you will receive timely information.
