Ovid-Elsie fall sports practices are set to begin the week of August 10th.  Please be sure you have had a sports physical that is dated after April 15th 2015 and it is on file with the athletic department.  A "Gold Card" will be issued and is needed to practice.  Physical cards may be picked up in the high school lobby, by the training room or the Administration Office. Remember – NO physical NO practice.  If you have questions contact Sonya Latz 989.834.2271, ext. 1808.

Equipment handout for football in the high school balcony:  Varsity – Tuesday, Aug. 4th @ 5:00 pm (also testing), JV Thursday, Aug. 6th @ 5:00 pm and Freshman @ 6:00 pm.

The first day of practice for Football and Sideline Cheer will be Monday, August 10th

Football:  Varsity 2:00 pm, JV 3:00 pm, Freshman 3:30 pm.

Cheer: Varsity & JV from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the stadium.


The first day of practice for Cross Country, Boys Soccer, Boys Tennis and Volleyball will be August 12th

Soccer:  8 - 11 am at the soccer field by the middle school.

Tennis:  First practice 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the tennis courts.

Volleyball: Varsity/JV/Freshman from 5-8 pm. 

Cross Country:  3:30 – 5:45 at Uncle John’s Cider Mill with a parent meeting at 5:45.


academic all-State Honorable Mention

Congratulations to both the girls and boys varsity basketball teams for the achievement of being named  BCAM Academic All-State Honorable Mention.  The girls compiled a team GPA of 3.459 and are coached by Dr. Ryan Cunningham while the boys compiled a team GPA of 3.324 and are coached by Josh Latz.  Great job!

2015-2016 Sports Passes 

Sports Passes may be purchased at the high school athletic offic for the 2015-16 school season.  Prices are as follows:

Year family pass (up to six passes including parents and K-12 students)  $250 

Season family pass (up to six passes including parents and K-12 students)  $100

Year fan pass (one adult)  $85

Year student pass (one K-12 student)  $75

Year couple pass   $125

Senior Citizens age 62 and older may pick up a free lifetime pass for home events (tournaments not included) from the high school office.


2015-16 Sports physicals

A reminder that all athletes must have a current physical before you may participate in any sport.  Current means a physical done on or after April 15, 2015. Physical cards are on a table near the training room, at the middle school office, at the administration office or you may download and print one by clicking here.  Please be sure all parts are filled out and signed before bringing in the card to the Athletic Office.
