The Ovid-Elsie Varsity Boys' Basketball team, coached by Josh Latz, was recently recognized by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan as one of the Top 100 Sportsmanship Teams in the State.  The 2013-14 Top 100 Sportsmanship Award was sponsored by Better Basketball.

After every regular season basketball game, that game's officials are asked by the MHSAA (Michigan High School Athletic Association) to provide feedback on the sportsmanship of both shcools' players, coaches, administrators, and fans.  At the end of the basketball regular season, schools are ranked by the MHSAA and the top 100 boy's teams and girl's teams are awarded with a banner to hang in their school's gym.

The Ovid-Elsie Varsity Boys also received a Special Mention for their team GPA.  Congratulations to these Marauders!
