At Baker College today, Ovid-Elsie students took 3rd place overall out of 12 schools during Baker College Competitive Olympic Day. Others that were competing were Owosso, Corunna, Clare, P-W, Fowler, Morrice, Fowlerville, Bath, St. Charles, Byron and Perry. The winning school was P-W, with 6 first place finishes and O-E had five! It was (and always is) a great day of getting kids on a college campus! Congrats to Mrs. Bonnie Ott and the students that competed today!
Our medalists were: (1st place) Hannah Orwellor, Sarah Nichols-Marketing and Sales; Dominique Bushon, Katelyn Lentz, Riley Dysinger, Madrid Nihart, Danielle Hall, Jackie Wood-Library Event; Alex Donnert, Skyler Cramer, Marshall Gallt-Math/Algebra; Marshall Gallt, Gordon Johnson-Math/Calculus; and, Tyler Ott, Jacob Somers, Matt Hurst-Automotive Pit Crew Challenge.
2nd place finishes went to Danyelle Frink-Managerial Decision Making and Martin Vavrovic-Foreign Language-Spanish.
We also had one 3rd place finish and that was Alex Donnert-Auto Tool and Parts Identification.
The Baker College Competitive Olympics and this year was the 24th year of the event.
